A Stroll Through Sephora Inside JcPenney | AKA Stalking All the Holiday Beauty Collections
Last weekend I visited a Sephora inside JCPenney. If you've never been to one, it's magical, magical place. Often times they release items quicker than stand alone Sephoras, they also frequently have out of stock or hard to find items (like the ABH Modern Renaissance palette), and best of all-- they have a lot of exclusive to Sephora inside JCPenney gift sets!
With the holidays around the corner, it's not surprising to hear that there's an influx of gift sets. In my excitement I ended up take a bunch of pictures of the different gift sets so I could later decide if I wanted to purchase any during the VIB sale. And since sharing is caring, I'm blogging about it!
First up are some of the Sephora inside JcPenney exclusive sets.
As a lip junkie of course the first set I spotted was the Lip Temptations Lip Sampler set. It contains 5 lipsticks and 1 lip liner. The NARS lipstick in Jungle Red and Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in 714 are both full size!! The set has a total value of $100.00 and retails for $32.00.
Another lip set focused on prepping and priming your lips and also contained two full sized products! The pout perfectors set includes a full sized First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Intensive Lip Balm ($20.00) and a full sized Glamglow Plumprageous Matte Lip Treatment ($24.00), plus 2 deluxe minis from Fresh and Bite Beauty.
If you're looking to find your HG mascara, the following set may be perfect for you! It contains 7 different deluxe/ travel sized mascaras from Benefit, Tarte, Make Up For Ever, and more.
There's also an eyeliner set which contains 5 different eyeliners and a mini Lacome BI-FACIL - Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover which itself retails for $15.00. Like the lipstick set, this eyeliner set also contains full sized NARS and Urban Decay products.
Ofcourse there are also some variety sets which include different Sephora best sellers. The Makeup Must-Haves contains 4 full sized products: a Buxom Lash Mascara, a Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper, an Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Mushroom, and a BeautyBlender Pro plus two more deluxe sized samples.
There's also the tempting 10 which includes 4 full sized products: a Smashbox Liquid Lipstick in Stepping Out, an ABH Brow Wiz in Medium Brown, a Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner (my HG liquid liner), and an original BeautyBlender (another HG) plus 6 deluxe/ travel sized minis.
Last but certainly not least are the skincare sets! Personally I find these to be the most tempting!
First is the Skin Wonderland set which includes 12 minis from brands like Glamglow, Josie Maran, and Kate Somerville plus a full sized Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle 24k Gold Intense Wrinkle Sheet Mask.
There's also this Beauty Unmasked set which contains 6 mini masks, a full sized Sephora Collection Sheet Mask in Pearl, and a headband. As a mask addict, this was quickly added to my wish list.
The last Sephora inside JcPenney exclusive set I found was called Glow, Body, Glow. It includes two full sized products, 2 Karuna sheet masks, and 5 deluxe/ travel sized minis.
There were also a few brand specific skincare sets I spotted throughout the store. The first two are by Boscia and feature products from their charcoal line.
The Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser is one of my go tos when my skin is feeling oily. It warms up when mixed with water and does a fantastic job at washing all the grossness of the day away. The Boscia White Charcoal Mattifying MakeUp Setting Spray is another loved product of mine which I featured in my September favorites.

Besides from Bosica, there were also two Ole Henriksen sets as well as an Origins set. I'm not sure why I took their photos since I'm not particularly interested in them, but maybe someone reading this will be!
I can't find the Ole Henriksen Love the Winter set online but they do have the Ole Henriksen All Four Love - Mini 3 Little Wonders + Cleanse set here and the Origins Bestsellers set here.
Jumping to makeup, I hit up Nars cause NARS is my fav. Of course I was enticed by the entire Sarah Moon x NARS collaboration.
First up is the Give In Take Dual-Intensity Eye & Cheek Palette which includes six 0.07 oz/ 2.07 mL eyeshadows and three 0.12 oz/ 3.54 mL blushes. This palette is also available online here. The palette itself is rather large and contains a generous amount of product. According to the Sephora page, the palette has a value of $114.00 but costs $69.00.

Next up is the NARS Mind Game Velvet Lip Glide Set. I've been waiting for this sale to try out their new Velvet Lip Glides so this set is the perfect way to try multiple shades! It includes 6 minis from the permanent collection. Often times lip sets include one or two colors that are too light for me to wear so I'm so excited to find a set that is kinder to WOC.

Here's a shot of some of the minis compared to a full sized NARS Velvet Lip Glide. A full sized Lip Glide contains 0.2 oz/ 5.9147 mL and the mini Velvet Lip Glides contains 0.12 oz/ 3.5 mL each, for a total of 0.72 mL/ 21 mL for the set. The set has a value of $104.00 and retails for $45.00 so it's a real steal!
In addition to the lip set, there are also three limited edition NARS Moon Matte Lipsticks in the collection. I swatched them on my hand and I wasn't too crazy about the formulation. While they were very pigmented, they were also very dry. Then again, that may be because they're sitting out there with no caps on for hours on end. You can find them online here. Each retails for $28.00.
The shade 'Indecent Proposal' was my favorite of the bunch and also the most unique. According to the Sephora page, there's one more red shade that wasn't in the display. TBH, 3 out 4 shades being red is a bit boring.
Last but not least there are also two limited edition NARS Sarah Moon Blushes in the collection! Like other Nars blushes I've tried, the formulation is stellar. They were pigmented and not in the least bit dusty. The two shades are also very unique!

Bite Beauty is a brand that I haven't tried much but really want to. I've heard nothing but stellar reviews of their Amuse Bouche lipsticks! The Bite Beauty The Perfect Bite Set contains 4 mini Amuse Bouche lipsticks, has a value of $59.00, and retails for $25.00. Each mini contains 0.05 oz of product whereas a full sized Amuse Bouche lipstick contains 0.15 oz of product.
Bite Beauty also had two other gift sets. The Bite Beauty Best Bite Redux contains 4 mini Matte Creme Crayons and retails for $25.00 (full details here.) The Bite Beauty Discovery Set contains a full sized Amuse Bouche lipstick plus 3 other deluxe sized minis and retails for $39.00 (full details here.)
Another brand that I haven't tried a lot from is Lancome. In fact I think everything that I have tried, Istole borrowed from my mom. Their mascaras are cult favorites for many so I can totally see the Lancôme Paris en Rose Hypnose Drama set being a hit. It's a $110.00 value but retails for $35.00!
I know Benefit has a lot of hyped up holiday sets in the Girlesque collection so I thought I would share some of the other less popular gift sets I spotted. I don't think any of these are limited edition, but nevertheless they are fun ways to try out Benefit products!
