last time around

In a few days, a good chunk of the blogosphere will be hit with the omgitsnyfw virus. Our feeds will be flooded with links to live streams, pretty pictures of drool worthy restaurants and eateries, inspirational street style shots, the what-I-would-wear to fashion week outfits, and last but not least, posts about the actual shows. At first it's all exciting and new to see what's coming up in the new season, but I'm not going to lie that I do get overwhelmed at points, and end up stop reading said blogs for a few days or even weeks. Then there's the whole criticism of fashion bloggers at NYFW spiel, sparked by Suzy Menkes, from last year-- which honestly I have difficulty picking a side on. But what does this whole tangential paragraph have to do with anything?? Basically, I will be enjoying NYFW from the comfort of my bed, taking it in reasonable fixes so not to OD. One sort of new comer to the game is Nellie Partow, who has been designing for a few years but is making her NYFW debut this time around. Her pieces below, which are from her past fall collection, are to simply put it: perfection. Shades of grey and black mixed in with an inkling of military green and deep burgundy. All so sleek. Can I have them? Now to behold what she'll bring us for the spring season on the runway.
