10 Beauty Gifts For Everyone On Your Gift List
I think gifting people beauty products can be tricky unless you know them well and know their preferences or what’s on their wish list. Most of the time I’m browsing beauty gifts… I’m browsing for myself 😇 However, if you are looking for my best (last minute) picks from the skincare gift sets galore— you’re in luck because I’ll be uploading some to my tik-tok today and tomorrow!
Today’s post are about beauty gifts that could work for pretty much everyone and again, I included picks at every price point. In case you missed my last blog post, it’s my candle gift guide! I picked out 13 different candles at different budgets for the different people in your life 😉
Aquis Hair Towels 🧖♀️
I’ve had my Aquis hair turbans for about 2 years now and can confidently recommend them for anyone with medium to long hair (they might also work for those with shorter hair, but I can’t speak from personal experience.)
Not only do they speed up the hair drying process, but they’re also really gentle and lightweight so they don’t unnecessarily pull at your hair. My mom is always complaining about any sort of hair loss so I bought her one of their hair turbans in hopes that it’ll help minimize hair loss while her hair is drying!
You can shop their hair towels and turbans at Ulta, Sephora, Nordstrom, & Bloomingdale’s.
All the Masks
Listen, if 2020 has taught us anything it’s that we all deserve to take some time for ourself. Masks are the perfect way to create the spa experience at home, without breaking the bank.
There’s face masks and hand masks and foot masks and peels (especially foot peels which will literally lead you to shed off cracked heels) and even booty masks. Slapping on a mask and turning on your favorite Netflix/ HBO Max/ Disney+ show to binge is the perfect self care activity for a cold winter day. Snacks recommended too.
I’m also partial to hand masks, of the warming variety— like these from Ulta which are on sale 5 for $10 which I just ordered to toss into my family’s stockings. You can apply them while working so they’ll warm you up and soften your hands while you get $hit done.
Fancy Hand Sanitizer
If you’re going anywhere without hand sanitizer these days, you are truly living life on the edge. I think sanitizer is something most people don’t think of much— but that doesn’t mean you can’t brighten someone’s day by eLevAtinG tHeiR eXpeRieNce (yes, I know this phrase makes me sound like a blogger cliché but hear me out.)
A hand sanitizer that doesn’t reek of alcohol and doesn’t make your hands lose every drop of moisture can add a little light in the miserable year that is 2020. Instead of thinking “hmmm yes I hope I don’t get infected with this highly contagious global disease” while applying hand sanitizer, the gifted might think “dang, this smells good, and my hands feel soft!”
My preferred fancy hand sanitizer of choice are Touchland’s Power Mists— my favorite scent being aloe. You can also gift it alongside one of their squishy cases, so they can attach their sanitizer to their keys and never go without. If you’re looking at something in the under $10 range, Ulta has a ton of other options too!
Fancy Hand Cream/ Lotion/ Wash
🖐If you’re gonna throw hands, make sure they smell good 🤚
A nice hand cream/ lotion/ wash makes a mundane task more pleasant. Most of us have been washing my hands more often this year, and it shows. My hands look reptilian and constant moisturizing is the cure.
Note, I said fancy, not absurdly expensive. Of course, if you want to bestow your friends and family with a bottle of Byredo’s Tulipmania hand lotion, go for it (also, hi can I please be your friend?). The Ouai came out with a new hand care line featuring a hand wash and hand lotion which is reminiscent of Byredo’s, but at half the price. Plus they also sell refills!
If you’re looking for something affordable, you can’t go wrong with Trader Joe’s store brand hand cream. They often have gift sets this time of year with various yummy scents, or they sell their standard and rose versions year round.
My favorite affordable hand wash discovery of the year is from Baylis & Harding— their Oud, Cedar, & Amber hand wash delivers a Byredo-esque experience but with a $6 price tag. They also have a ton of various gift sets under $15.
Silk Pillowcases
Not only are silk pillowcases decadently fancy, but they’re also beneficial to your hair and skin! I’ve been sleeping with silk pillowcases for over two years now and don’t regret the
Target’s new Casaluna line has a $30 option which has good reviews and a variety of colorways.
Internet favorite Brooklinen also has their own take on a Mulberry silk pillowcase, plus they currently have 15% off site wide.
The OG Slip Silk pillowcases are pricey, but you can currently find them 25% off at Bloomingdale’s. If you have an Ulta rewards account, you might have received a 20% off coupon which you can use on the Slip pillowcases on their site. These are the ones I’ve been using over the past 2 years, and they’ve held up nicely with 0 tearing or shedding.
Fluffy Towels
Nice towels are underrated in my books. Once I bought my first set of fluffy, face towels— I never looked back. It’s one of those little luxuries that everyone deserves to indulge in at least once.
Votary sells a set of 5 face towels that I’ve had for some time now— despite numerous washings they’ve still held up their fluffiness and softness. I usually hand wash them with a little face wash after using them, so that I can get several uses before tossing them into the washing machine.
I’ve also purchased cotton towels from The White Company and would give them 5/5 stars. 100% the softest thing I’ve ever rubbed my face against.
Spa Gloves & Socks 🧤🧦
Socks is up there as second lamest gifts to candle (and we know how I feel about candles) but spa socks and gloves are on another level. Slather on some aquaphor or vaseline, wrap yourself in these cushy gloves and socks, and just… marinate. Plus they’re reusable!
I like the Earth Therapeutics line from Ulta, which just happen to be 25% off at the moment. You can also find them at your local Marshall’s and TJ Maxx most of the time.
Hmnkind Face Masks
(And if they don’t believe in wearing masks… do they deserve holiday presents?)
2020 is the year of the mask, and even with a you-know-what vaccine in the near future, I think a lot of us will be feeling overly cautious and wearing masks for quite some time. These Hmnkind Masks contour to your face leaving no side gaps, plus they’re also antibacterial to help protect you against maskne (aka acne you get from the irritation of a mask constantly rubbing against your face.) They also come in 4 different sizes making them a nice gift for those who struggle with masks being too big or too small. Because of the light (but still protective) stretchy material, they’re also comfortable on my ears even after I’ve been wearing them for 3+ hours.
Decadent Body Scrubs
Let’s make this winter the one we collectively stop being crusty and flaky 💪
My two favorite body scrubs are Herbivore’s coco rose exfoliator (plus, the brand is having free holiday rush shipping) and the Ouai’s scalp & body scrub. Both have a sort of whipped texture and lather up easily. They scrub away dead skin AND leave my skin feeling hydrated, without any sort of greasy film. As a bonus, they also smell delicious.
If you’re looking for an under $10 pick— you can’t go wrong with the Tree Hut Scrubs. They come in a wide variety of scents so you’re bound to find the perfect one to gift.
A Nice, F*cking, Candle
I already waxed on about the ✨joy ✨ of gifting a candle, but I’m going to repeat myself and plug the post here. There’s a candle out there for everyone, I’m convinced of it.
