But First, Empties
The time has come once again for me to share an empties post. I'm trying to be more definitive with these posts and be strict with what I'm actually going to repurchase and not repurchase... not sure how that worked out.
I don't think this needs any more of an intro so let's get into it 😎
Ingredients: Opuntia Tuna Fruit (Prickly Pear) Extract, Agave Tequilana Leaf (Blue Agave) Extract, Cypripedium Pubescens (Lady's Slipper Orchid) Extract, Opuntia Vulgaris (Cactus) Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract & Saccharomyses Cerevisiae (Yeast) Extract, Lactic Acid, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Butylene Glycol, Squalane, Cyclomethicone, Dimethicone, Ppg-12/Smdi Copolymer, Stearic Acid, Cetearyl Alcohol And Ceteareth20, Glyceryl Stearate And Peg-100 Stearate, Arnica Montana (Flower) Extract, Peg-75 Meadowfoam Oil, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus (Lemongrass) Oil, Triethanolamine, Xantham Gum, Phenoxyethanol, Steareth-20, Dmdm Hydantoin
A staple for me! It helps with my skin texture and discoloration and acne. It's a superstar and featured in my best of beauty 2017 post!
Normally I wouldn't include a toothpaste in my empties post but this isn't an ordinary toothpaste. It's a fancy toothpaste. I'm not sure if it's any better at cleaning my teeth than my previous drugstore toothpaste, but it tastes good and the fancy packaging motivates me to brush my teeth for more than 10 seconds.
Ingredients: Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Peg-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate, Peg-10 Isostearate, Polyethylene, Phenoxyethanol, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract, Melia Azadirachta Flower Extract, Amino Esters-1, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Amber Powder, Cananga Odorata Flower Oil, Coccinia Indica Fruit Extract, Solanum Melongena (Eggplant) Fruit Extract, Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract, Ocimum Sanctum Leaf Extract, Corallina Officinalis Extract, Moringa Oleifera Seed Oil, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Water, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Echinacea Purpurea Root Extract, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Moringa Pterygosperma Seed Extract, Disodium Phosphate, Citric Acid
A cleanser that doesn't sting my eyes is hard to come by, so when I do find one ya better believe I will repurchase it. It properly removes my sunscreen and makeup, including waterproof eye makeup. It rinses off clean without a washcloth. And it happens to be a pretty, light shade of green!
Ingredients: Water, Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate*, Cocamidopropyl Betaine*, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate*, Glycerin*, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Glyceryl Stearate*, Sodium Methyl Oleoyl Taurate*, Microcrystalline Cellulose*, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Lithium Magnesium Sodium Silicate, Panthenol*, Xylitylglucoside*, Charcoal Powder, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Oil, Mentha Viridis (Spearmint) Leaf Oil, Anhydroxylitol*, Bisabolol*, Menthyl Lactate*, Xylitol*, Polyquaternium-7, Fragrance. *Coconut, vegetable, plant, or sugar derived
Spoilers, spoilers. I'll save my review of this for my scalp exfoliator post. But the fact that it's in the definitely repurchase category indicates something 😉
Ingredients: Squalane oil
I've talked about this so many times y'all are probably bored of me by now. The main post is from last summer where I deemed this queen of all squalane oils.
Ingredients: Aqua (Water, Eau), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Chloride, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Tilia Cordata Flower Extract, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Panthenyl Hydroxypropyl Steardimonium Chloride, Parfum (Fragrance), CI 19140 (Yellow 5), CI 15985 (Yellow 6), CI 16035 (Red 40)
I admit I seldom have strong feelings about body care products but I thoroughly enjoyed this body wash! I can't believe I didn't think of using chemical exfoliators on my body before using this. It's not a particularly strong exfoliator but with regular use, it does help smooth and soften my skin. It also smells really yummy and is affordable!
Ingredients: *Aloe Vera Leaf juice, *Jojoba oil, †Marula Seed oil, *Evening Primrose oil, *Hemp Seed oil, *Borage Seed oil, *Almond oil, *Grape Seed oil, *Sesame Seed oil, *Sea Buckthorn oil, *Goji Berry, *Ashwaganda, *Calendula, *Black Cohosh, *Dandelion, *Fo Ti Root, *Alfalfa, *Bilberry, *Rosemary, *Turmeric, *Elderberry, *Raspberry Leaf, *Burdock, *Chamomile, *Rose Hips, *Eyebright, *Beetroot, *St. John’s Wort, * Hawthorne Berry, *Chickweed, *Licorice, *Coriander, *Horse Chestnut, *Lavender, *Red Clover, *Olive Leaf, *Sage, *Thyme, *Vitamin E, *Guar Gum, *Gum Arabic, §XanthanGum, §PotassiumSorbate, *VanillaExtract, †YlangYlang essential oil, †Rosemary essential oil, †Eucalyptus essential oil, †Bergamot essential oil, †Carrot Seed essential oil. *CERTIFIED ORGANIC Organic Wildcrafted NON-GMO Plant Sourced
Just look at the yummy ingredient list of this mist. It's definitely not just a bottle of fancy water. This truly adds more moisture to my skin! Despite containing a whole bunch of oils, it doesn't feel heavy or sticky. Some days when I've been too lazy to layer on toners, I would just spray multiple layers of this mist.
Maybe Repurchase
Ingredients: Aloe barbadensis Leaf Juice*, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Sclerotium gum, Aqua/water/Eau, Lactobacillus Ferment, Maltooligosyl Glucoside, Lactobacillus/Punica granatum Fruit Ferment Extract, Leuconostoc Ferment Filtrate, Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate, Hydrolyzed Corn Starch, Beta vulgaris/Beet Root Extract/Extrait de racine de betterave, Kaolin (Rose Clay), Sodium Phytate, Aroma**, Benzyl Alcohol, Citral, Citronellol, Eugenol, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool
It pains me to put this in the maybe repurchase category but it must be so because I have so. many. freaking. masks. I need to show some self-constraint and not immediately repurchase the ones I've used up. I thoroughly enjoyed this because it's exfoliating yet hydrating at the same time! It's gentle but still effective.
Ingredients: Water, Glycereth-26, Glycerin, C13-15 Alkane, Echinacea Purpurea Root Extract, Honey Extract, Propolis Extract, Royal Jelly Extract, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Theobroma Grandflorum Seed Butter, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Camellia Japonica Seed Oil, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Allantoin, Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract, Lactobacillus/Soybean Ferment Extract, Melia Azadirachta Flower Extract, Imperata Cylindrica Root Extract, Viscum Album (Mistletoe) Leaf Extract, Solanum Melongena (Eggplant) Fruit Extract, Ocimum Balsilicum (Basil) Flower/Leaf Extract, Coccinia Indica Fruit Extract, Adenosine, Betaine, Capryloyl Glycerin/Sebacic Acid Copolymer, Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Flower Extract, Corallina Officinalis Extract, Ocimum Sanctum Leaf Extract, Eclipta Prostrata Extract, Flavor, Sorbitan Olivate, Sucrose Stearate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Disodium Edta, Glyceryl Polyacrylate, Agar, Calcium Alginate, Mica, Iron Oxide (Ci 77492), Propanediol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Methyl Gluceth-20, Diheptyl Succinate, Butylene Glycol, Carbomer, Hydroxyacetophenone, Tromethamine, Cetearyl Olivate, Alcohol Denat., Caprylyl Glycol
I struggled with whether I want to put this in the definitely repurchase category or maybe repurchase category. Because while I really enjoyed it over the summer... I don't really remember what it was like since I haven't used it in a while. And since I'm trying to be more definitive with these posts and narrow down the definitely repurchase categories, it ended up here. On the plus side I have a blog post I wrote on it last summer as well as a backup jar to use this summer!
Another product that I struggled to place. I loved this when I was using it... but I finished it up at the beginning of January so now I don't remember just how much I loved it. I do remember it to be hydrating! Because it's not super pricey I would say it's safe to say I will probably repurchase it at some point.
Ingredients: Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Water, Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Flower Water, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filterate, Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Water, Melia Azadirachta Flower Extract, Coccinia Indica Fruit Extract (Neer Sikkappu Red)
Twas a nice mist. Not the nicest but not the worst. Get's extra points for being pink.
Ingredients: Water, Herbal Infusion Of Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract*, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract*, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract*, And Robus Ideous (Raspberry) Leaf Extract*, Coco Betaine, Glycerin, Sodium Chloride (Sea Salt), Saccharum Officinarum (Molasses) Extract, Glycine, Oenocarpus Bataua (Rahua Ungurahua) Oil, Bursera Graveolens (Palo Santo) Oil, Hydrolyzed Quinoa, Panthenol, Potassium Sorbate (Plant Derived), Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Citric Acid. *Organic
This shampoo has a controversial scent. Some people hate it, some people love it. Peak beauty community drama, I know. Personally, I love it! It's very refreshing to me. As a shampoo it's nice. It cleanses my scalp and roots without stripping my hair.
I LOVED the texture of this moisturizer. It's thick and luscious and really locks in moisture. And it smells absolutely lush (like bergamot!) It also came with a really nice spatula. The only reason it's on my maybe repurchase list is because I think the bergamot in the cream irritates my skin when it's "compromised" And by "compromised" I mean breaking out/ over-exfoliated/ all-around sensitive.
Ingredients: Purified Water (Aqua Purificata), Butylene Glycol, Stearalkonium Chloride, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Glycerin, Methoxy PEG/PPG-7/3 Aminopropyl Dimethicone, Fragrance (Natural Coriander Extract Compound), Dimethicone, Linalool, Sodium Benzoate, Caprylyl Glycol, Disodium Edta, Coriandrum Sativum (Coriander) Fruit/Leaf Extract, Coriandrum Sativum (Coriander) Fruit Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Hexylene Glycol, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone
I will forever love the Aussie 3 minute miracle moist and always end up comparing every hair conditioner I try to it. This wasn't a bad conditioner but it wasn't as effective as the Aussie which is literally only $3.
Ingredients: Water, Cetyl Esters, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Cetyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Glyceryl Stearate, Peg-100 Stearate, Camphor, Ceteareth-20, Salicylic Acid, Colloidal Sulfur, Butylene Glycol, Bentonite, Caprylyl Glycol, Hexylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol
Sulfur is stinky but effective at tackling acne! I like that these come in small pods so I don't have to commit to the full-size.
Will Not Repurchase
This wasn't the worst oil in the world, but in my quest for definitiveness it ended up here. Pros: it cleanses makeup well, rinses away easily without leaving a smell, and has a pleasant scent. Cons: it's very runny and makes me tear. Even if I apply it away from my eyes, I still manage to get some into that general area which in turn triggers the waterworks.
Ingredients: Water, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Quercus Acutissima Sap (Oak Tree Sap), Glycerin, Methylpropanediol, Arachidyl Alcohol, Behenyl Alcohol, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Extract, Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Extract, Alchemilla Vulgaris Extract, Houttuynia Cordata Extract, Dryopteris Crassirhizoma Extract, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Ceramide NP, Illicium Verum (Anise) Fruit Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Arachidyl glucoside, Cetyl Alcohol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Carbomer, Tromethamine, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Butylene Glycol, Allantoin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Disodium EDTA, Chlorphenesin
A nice moisturizer but it broke me out 😟
Ingredients: Aqua (Hungarian Thermal Water), Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Flower Water, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Leaf Water, Polysorbate 20, Phenoxyethanol, Glycerin, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Pectin, Chlorella Vulgaris/Lupinus Albus Protein Ferment, Malpighia Punicifolia (Acerola) Fruit Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Mannitol, Yeast Extract
This was a product I purely bought because of packaging. I mean, LOOK HOW BEAUTIFUL IT IS. Unfortunately, the mist was a total flop for me. It essentially was overpriced fancy-ass water. Actually, I find mineral water sprays to be much more effective than this mist, and less expensive. I also low key hate the packaging because it stopped working about 1/3 of the way through the bottle. So instead the product would awkwardly squirt out instead of producing a fine mist.
I don't think this needs any more of an intro so let's get into it 😎

Tony Moly Thank You My Shea Lip Balm
This was from their holiday collection two years ago. It was a total surprise hit! It has such a luxurious texture-- sort of like a thinner Vaseline. And of course, it's moisturizing. I was on the lookout for Ulta to bring it back last holiday season, but it never did. If they bring it back in the future I won't hesitate to repurchase!Maybe Repurchase

The Ordinary Squalane Oil
I reviewed this last summer in my squalane round-up post. I enjoyed the oil but with all the drama going on with Deciem, I ain't touching them with a 10-feet pole.
