Sephora VIB Sale Makeup Haul | Berry This Berry That

While I did major damage in the skincare department during the Sephora VIB sale (you can read all about that in my skincare haul post), my makeup hauling was a bit more tame. At least I'd like to think so.

Sephora Pro Angled Lip Brush
I've already babbled on about the perks of shopping at Sephora inside JcPenney but I can't help myself. Basically if you live near one, check it out! At the beginning of the month I did a Sephora inside JcPenney walk-through tour, sharing photos and some swatches of all of their exclusive gift sets.

Besides for their exclusives, they often have good clearance sections! I ended up purchasing this lip brush for a mere $3! I'd like to think it was meant to be because I had been looking to buy a lip brush, but none of the drugstore options were appealing. Now I got a mid end one at a drugstore price!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette
Since I purchased the Lorac MegaPro 3 last month, I wasn't sure if I should get this palette or not. On the other hand I had been lusting over it since it was released and had initially planned on waiting until this sale to purchase it.

Buuut when I went in stores to pick up a Sephora Favorites set I stopped, swatched the palette, and couldn't leave without purchasing one. The pigmentation is awesome and I love all the warm, red shades. Actually looking at it side to side to the Lorac Mega Pro 3, I don't think there's too much overlap.

Bite Amuse Bouche Lipstick in 'Nori'
Some of my favorite beauty bloggers have raved about the Amuse Bouche formulations by Bite so of course I wanted to give them a try! I got a mini one in my PLAY! box a few months ago but haven't actually worn it since it's hot pink aka not my usual kinda color.

So with the sale I decided to try 'Nori," which I thought would be a deep, vampy maroon color. Unfortunately on me it looks like shit. Literally poop 💩.

On one hand I feel guilty about returning it and knowing it will basically end up in a landfill, on the other hand I feel bad about losing $20 on a lipstick I don't like. At the moment I'm leaning towards keeping it to see if I can make it work. On the plus side, the formula does seem to live up to the hype.

Nars Mind Game Lip Velvet Set
As a lover of all things Nars, this was all the way at the tippy top of my wish list. I had been waiting to try out the new Velvet Lip Glides since the end of August when they first popped up on the Sephora website. But I told myself to wait until the holiday sales and it was totally worth it since they released this lovely little gift set.

In the weeks days leading up to the sale I watched anxiously as the set went in and out of stock online. Thankfully I was able to snag a set in stores (the perks of living in NJ where there are literally more than half a dozen Sephora stores within a half-hour drive. Not counting the ones in NYC. And people say NJ sucks.)

I haven't given them a try yet but I'll totally be reviewing them once I do!

Becca Backlight Priming Filter
This was another guy that I purchased after trying it out from Sephora PLAY!. I included it in my September beauty favorites and have been planning to purchase the full size for quite some time.

It's a lovely primer which adds glow without making your face like an oil-slicked disco ball. It also wears really well under every single foundation and concealer I've tried it with thanks to its water based formula. No pilling to be seen!

At the moment if you purchase more than $40 of Becca products at Ulta, you get a free mini size of this primer! Another great way to try this primer is with this gift set which also includes two Becca highlighters and a Becca blush! Plus there's free shipping for Cyber Monday 😏.

Surratt Beauty Relevée Eyelash Curler
I swear I'm cursed with the worst lashes of all time. And this isn't me being a drama llama, some of my outer lashes actually curl inwards towards my eye. The rest of my lashes are stubborn assholes who refuse to stay curled.

And it's thanks to that assholery that I decided to buy this super hyped $30 eyelash curler. It's been on my wish list for the longest time (including last year's Sephora VIB sale wish list) so I finally bit the bullet. I've been using it everyday now and I'm not sure if I can say if it's worth it or not.

I can say that the material it's made of has a nice weight to it. It definitely looks and feels like an expensive product. Everything about it is sleek and sophisticated. It's also less painful and is easier to use in comparison to my Tweezerman eyelash curler.

Sephora Favorites 'Glow For It'
If you read my VIB skincare haul, then you won't be surprised to see another Sephora Favorites set. I didn't really need anymore highlighters per se... but this set was too good to resist. Plus the set features unique formulations that I don't have in my collection!

I mostly bought it for the Lancôme Glow Subtil Silky Creme Highlighter in 'Glowing Lights' which has such a unique formulation and looks stunning in the pan! It's a full sized highlighter and retails for $30 by itself. So basically everything else that came in the set was free! If all that isn't reason enough to buy the set, the Lancôme highlighter got a 100% by Temptalia!

As for the other highlighters in the set, I'm really looking forward to trying the Hourglass one. My only experience with their powders are with the Ambient Lighting Palette which I've been using everyday lately. And since I already own the Becca shimmering skin perfector in liquid, I'm going to be popping that in my giveaway bag. If you've been watching my instastories (@sharmtoaster) you might have seen another Becca mini that I'll be giving away 😉

It's sold out online but I've spotted plenty in the stores near me. It would be a perfect way to spend your $15/ $20/ or $25 off coupon 😉  (sorry not sorry for using the winking emoji twice in a row. I can't get enough of the new emoji features on blogger!)

Aaaand that's the end of my Sephora VIB haul! Writing this post made me feel better about the haul. While I did buy a lot of stuff, almost all of it was planned purchases that I had been saving for since the summer.

At the moment I'm trying to stay away from all the Cyber Monday sales. The one tempting me the most is Colourpop's 20% off sitewide sale. And Kylie's. I don't even like Kylie but dang, the 20% off sure is alluring.

But I'm really happy with what I bought on Black Friday so I'mma stay strong and resist. If you end up hauling anything, please do share so I can live vicariously through you 😅😅😅
