the long bob
I've been contemplating a short haircut for the longest time (I even wrote this post about it back in 2013), and last Friday I finally did it! It was a pretty spontaneous decision. I made the call after waking up, went to the salon that afternoon, and left with 9+ inches chopped off!
In my Saturday morning just-woke-up haze, I spent a few moments wondering where the h*ll all my hair had gone. My hair hasn't been this short since elementary school so I pretty much feel like a new person. At the end of the day I'm glad I finally went for it since I got to donate my hair to Pantene's beautiful lengths campaign. I won't go into too many details as I imagine many people have already heard about the campaign-- but basically you donate 8+ inches of hair to be made into free wigs for cancer patients. If you want to learn more about the program click here :)
Since this is all new to me, I haven't really figured out how to style it properly. I want that tousled "I just spent the day at the beach" look...but have yet to achieve it. On the plus side, it's the perfect excuse to try a bunch of new hair products! If you have any tips or product recommendations it would be much appreciated!
crop top: forever 21, skirt: asos, lips: revlon matte balm stain in sultry (applied very lightly)
On an unrelated note, if you've been waiting for an affordable button down denim mini skirt (that's a mouthful), forever 21 just released one on their site! I couldn't resist the less than $20 price tag and hastily ordered it in both colors (ignoring the fact I already have a similar blue one by asos...) I have yet to receive them but I've got high hopes! You can buy it here :)
