Cheeeers to the weekend! I'm so tempted to complain about how cold and gross it was these past 2 days, and then I realize that the east coast got hit with yet another snow storm. I'll just say the LA weather gods had to get all this stuff out of their system, aka the random spouts of torrential downpour we've been having. In order to deal with these cold temperatures (you know, like 50 degrees-- at this point I don't even know if I'm being sarcastic or being a big baby), I had to throw on some pants. A quick peek through my blog will show how I definitely wear shorts, skirts, and dresses way more than pants. But if I had to wear some pants, I'm glad it was these.

My ode and declaration of love to an all black outfit in my previous post can be carried on as an ode and declaration of love to black jeans. In fact, this morning I woke up to an email from refinery29 about LA bloggers' love for black denim. As a fellow LA blogger type gal, I totally understand the love. I can't fathom a life where I didn't believe that black jeans go with almost everything. Ever since I bought my first pair in 10th grade, which was considered a bold wardrobe choice for me back then (which is sad but makes me happy to know I have definitely progressed since then), I haven't looked back.

Speaking of looking back, this is how I wore this t-shirt with a different pair of jeans less than 2 years ago. Embarrassing. Goes to show how small changes can make big impacts on the overall look.

Moving onto the jacket, I have to say props to LF on these studs. I feel like whenever I touch or try on studded items from zara, h&m, forever 21, etc., studs/ embroidery always feel like they're going to fall off. But even though these are on my shoulders and I was afraid that my bag straps would rip them off, they've stayed on strong!

I was a bit afraid of the whole studs and camo and denim thing going on the first time I wore it, but now that fear has turned into love. It's a little crazy but that makes it all the more lovable. I said it before, and I will say it again, this jacket makes me feel like a badass. But the craziness and oversized look kind of reminds me of a 5 year old playing dress up. What I'm trying to say, I guess, is I feel like a badass 5 year old-- huzzah!

Wow this post got long. Oh last detail! The reason I'm holding a wimpy tall cup of starbucks is cause it's free! They're having a promotion where you can try a free hazelnut or caramel macchiato. All I did is ask the barista (oh you fancy, huh?) about the promotion and he went along with it!
